It gives me a chance to figure out what I want to do without breaking the bank, or worrying about tearing up my equipment. The board looks really nice, and I don't have any complaints about quality. The bearings and trucks aren't high-end, but not too bad to start with. I wouldn't want super fast bearings from the start, or I'd probably kill myself going down a hill.A couple things to note: The board has a pretty wide turning radius. Even if you loosen up the trucks, you can't carve super hard. This has a lot to do with the fact that the wheel base is pretty much wider than my stance. If you are cruising on flat land, you'll want to upgrade the bearings for sure. A couple of my friends have higher end boards/bearings, and I have to put in a lot more effort to keep up with them. On the bright side, like I said, it doesn't get away with you going down hill... The package came faster than I thought. I ordered it on the 9th and got it on the 13th. As for the long board, it came in great condition. The bearings are terrible, the trucks are too tight, and the tail feels flimsy. On the other hand, the deck is springy, and the wheels are nice and chewy.Over all an okay board, I give it 4 stars because it might have potential. It is a good platform to build up and learn on.
