The Aperture Longboard is a 36" cruiser that uses it's length as an advantage, keeping you stable on those fast downhill runs. Outfitted with Gullwing Sidewinder trucks, the double-kingpin on the Aperture makes for some camera-worthy turns and slides, putting response directly underneath your feet.

OK the board is beautiful! Its UNBELIEVABLY perfect for carving and also as others have said, if you tight the trucks a little bit it becomes perfect for cruising trough college or your town as it has a great maneuverability! I havent found not a singles down point for this board.

Pros:
-beautiful design and graphic
-Flat aerodynamic design allows for nice speed and carving
-Carves/handles on a dime
-With Pumping; a little goes a long way. (invaluable feature)
-Fast

Cons:
-Trucks are double edged sword. Great for carving, dangerous for bombing. Speed Wobbles tend to show up so easily (Prob. a little tightening and wheel size upgrade would counteract this)
-Cant stress how much bigger wheels are needed, if your a bomber.

Even with that, this board is a solid 4.5 out of 5.0 must have for beginners-intermediate-advanced.

This is my first long board, but I have ridden daily for years on other skateboards (mostly street, but I also enjoy skate parks when I can get there). My impression is that this is a great starter long board for the price. You can find cheaper set-ups, but the Sector 9 offers solid components that you will be happy to live with for a long time.

Sidewinder (double pivot) trucks allow great carving action and allow for a full u-turn in less than a 10 foot arc. The board is springy and soaks up the bumps on the road. I like the drop through set-up with the side cutouts that allow for the crazy actuation of the trucks while carving hard. My neighborhood roads are chip-sealed (basically: tar, then gravel is sprayed somewhat evenly over the tar when wet.) I can ride comfortably and quite fast in these conditions, although on some high speed hill descents I experienced some speed wobble so I don't know how fast it would go on a smoother road (I will let you know on later... I bought this to transit from my dorms to the different sites on campus where I have my classes at. This was my first ever board, so I used this one to learn. It took me about 2 hours to get a hang of my balance and within a few days I was riding around as if I've been doing it for years. After enough research and experience, I'm starting to notice the good things and bad things about this board. As for the good things, it gets a LOT of good comments from people who walk by me. Everyone says "whoah where did you get that board" or "nice board man" and basically everything I've heard from others have been positive, and looking good is part of the appeal for sure. Another good thing is the deck is very sturdy and is unlikely to ever break, even during a nuclear holocaust. The drop deck is also very good for beginners because it keeps you just a bit more balanced and encourages good foot placement. However, it's not without it's faults. my name is ian and i have been asking for this board and when i got it i was soooooooooo happy it was 8 at night but i still took it out to go ride it for the first time and it rides like a dream. I have been longboarding for about 6 months on a sector nine and its kinda old and water logged but its still one of my best boards. this board is a great drop deck and its a first drop deck for me and even though it has a slite lean to the left i kinda fixed it by riding the other side. the trucks came perfectly adjusted for carving and great down hill aththe same time i just have to say

This board came to me ready, I took it out right when it came, they might send it in your backyard or garage if it is shipped by the UPS. No adjustments were needed to it for me, but if you do need adjustments it is fully adjustable like all longboards are. I was suggesting to get this board or the Atom drop through, but I chose this one and I think it was a great choice because it is sturdy and handles well. This board has a ton more stability than the drop through making it a great board for downhill carving or just to be safe, but I wouldn't go too fast like about 20 or 30 mph because the board starts to swerve and you will loose your balance and fall off, but I am somewhat new at longboarding, like about 6 months or so. I thought this board would be scraping the bottom but it doesn't, the deck has 4 inches off the ground and 5 inches off the ground where the wheels are (the front and back) and the width of the board it 9.5 inches. I open it up run outside and jump on, i did need to loosen trucks a little but other than that great board! low price unfortunatly i cant ride due to broken ankle and the wait to ride is killing me i love the thing and highly recomend it to anyone just starting or thats been riding awhile im upgrading my trucks and bearings soon for more speed.

Yesterday I got my longboard, ass soon I got home took it out of the box and take it for a ride, the wheels are amazing, super smooth ride, the only thing you have to do its loose a little the wheels and trucks to have more speed and control, everything else looks good so far. I was a little worried about my weight (224.lbs) on the board, but everything was ok, the board its very firm. Also my lil daughter love it she was sliding the driveway for a long time :)
