This was my first ever board, so I used this one to learn. It took me about 2 hours to get a hang of my balance and within a few days I was riding around as if I've been doing it for years. After enough research and experience, I'm starting to notice the good things and bad things about this board. As for the good things, it gets a LOT of good comments from people who walk by me. Everyone says "whoah where did you get that board" or "nice board man" and basically everything I've heard from others have been positive, and looking good is part of the appeal for sure. Another good thing is the deck is very sturdy and is unlikely to ever break, even during a nuclear holocaust. The drop deck is also very good for beginners because it keeps you just a bit more balanced and encourages good foot placement. However, it's not without it's faults. It is worth the $109 price, and the dropped deck and concave shape is pretty kew. There are more bads than goods for the board though, it has no kick tails, so that pretty much means no tricks, it is way heavier than any other board out there, the trucks squeak, and the wheels are really soft and they chip. So yeah. I suggest this for a cheap starter board, but then I would go with the Loaded Dervish Sama. It came a day late but that didnt worry me, what worried me was if it was going to be damaged or not. The package had a few small holes, but when i got it out before i got inside my house to show off, it looked awesome when we started pulling it out of the package. then i noticed that it was polished wood. then i thought, its not the same color, but when i pulled it out it was the same as the picture but with polished wood. Which makes it look even better! Its just perfect in every way!!! |
