The board has a bit of flex for my weight (210lbs), but never feels like it's going to break because its actually a thick board (not sure of the ply, but almost a 3/4 of an inch thick). The board is also completely flat. no convex/concave here. Isn't too heavy for its size, and the board is legitimately long; so it will take up room when in a lecture hall/bus/locker. You get what you pay for, so it includes cheap trucks, cheap bearings, and cheap wheels, not bad for starting out, but you'll want to go faster and smoother in the future, so some changes will have to be made. If you are comfortable or have experience riding skateboards/longboards, and are looking into seriously investing in an everyday longboard (college campus, etc) I would look elsewhere. It came on time, which was good, but riding it was a complete hassle. The wheels are about 30mm, and made from what feels like regular rubber, and insanely hard. It felt like they were 100a. Like someone just got a plastic ring and dipped it into rubber. You get hardly any grip at all. But thats alright, because it was impossible to go fast at all.The bearings can not even make a full rotation if you spin them. You find your self pushing about 6 times to move foward less than a yard, on flat ground. You go irritatingly slow down hills. I just purchased new bearings and wheels from a friend. He offered to change them as well. When he removed them, we discovered that at least a pint of some strange grease/gunk was poured into each bearing. I dont understand why the company Krown does that. The trucks are skateboard trucks. No reverse king pin, and maybe about 120mm more or less. Read more Decent, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Krown Disco Wave City Surf Longboard Skateboard (Sports) Great board for a beginner. I had been searching for awhile. And this was the best looking one for the price. My niece picked up skills fairly quickly, so I have a feeling we'll be getting a nicer one soon. The wheels were a little tight, we just loosened them up a bit, and it was smooth sailing. There were a few little scuffs when it arrived, nothing too noticeable, maybe I'm just picky like that. Overall, good product for a new longboarder. |
